and so this is christmas

Nick and I had a fun holiday season. It started off by Nick getting a phone call from our friend Tate asking him to be a part of the Heritage Carolers at This is the Place Heritage Park. Nick was really excited to do it, and I think he had a blast being a part of it.

Since I didn't go up to the park every night, I had a lot of fun hanging out with my friend Lolly since her hubby works late nights. We had a lot of fun watching christmas movies, boy meets world, attempting to make sugar cookies etc.
I was also very busy with work. I decided to help out and work at the kiosk for Zupas. The holidays at Zupas=VERY BUSY. Lets just say I am very sick of oreos, and dipping oreos. But working at the kiosk made my paychecks huge, which was nice for the holiday season.
Christmas Eve came up on us very quickly. Nick had to perform with the choir that morning, so I went to breakfast with the Dastrups. What's Christmas Eve morning without good 'ol McD's breakfast?? Nick met us there in his costume and everything... and he got some awesome looks. So Christmas Eve is always fun, cause we get to spend it with both families. We first headed off to the Tidwells to spend a few hours with Nicks family. We had a great time this year, we shared a lot of laughs, and some tears. But it was great to spend time with them. We had Erica and Stan for Christmas this year, and they had our name. We got them a gift card to Olive Garden and a free night of babysitting. And they got us the greatest thing ever. This beauty right here:

I was so excited when I saw it! This describes us perfectly. I can't wait to find a place to hang it up.
Next part of Christmas is my family. We do a name exchange every year. This year there wasn't very many of us cause we do have some family out of state. But we still had a fun time, there is never a dull moment with the Goldys. Nick and I wrapped up our Christmas Eve and headed home. We had the Dastrups with us for the night, which meant little kids for Christmas morning, we were pretty excited for that. Christmas morning came, we all got up at about 8:00, it was so fun to hear the kids when they saw their presents. Brady would say "I can't believe Santa actually got me this!" "a box!" "I have always wanted these!" It was so fun.

After the kids opened their presents, Nick and I opened ours. I got nick a new Utah hoodie, Utah wallet, and a new polo. Nick got me a cake pop maker, a my personal blender, and the Epic Mickey Wii game. After that, we headed over to my parents house for more presents. We all exchanged our gifts, and opened them one at a time. We all got some fun things.

We spent the rest of the day at my parents, eating munchies, watching christmas movies, and playing Just Dance. It was a fun Christmas, and I am glad our families are so close so we can spend time with them.
