Todd and Lolly's Wedding!

February 26th was a cold and snowy day, but it was a wonderful day for our best friends Todd and Lolly to get married. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Draper temple. It has been an amazing few months to watch these two grow as a couple. I always looked forward to our Saturday night hang outs, and it was so fun getting to know Lolly when they first started dating. Lolly and I quickly clicked and became great friends, she is such a cute girl and I'm so grateful to have her as my BFFE! (best friend for eternity) Todd and Lolly are a wonderful couple, and such a great example to me, I cherish our friendship so much.
Soon after they got engaged, Todd asked Nick to be a groomsmen, and Lolly asked me to be a bridesmaid, I was so excited! I was so excited to be there for the whole day, especially their sealing. I was also asked to make Todd's grooms cake, yes people do grooms cakes. I was.... intimidated you could say, I love making cakes, but I've never made a cake to display for lots of people to see. Luckily I had a while to think about what kind of cake to do. I knew I instantly wanted to do something with Spiderman cause Todd loves him, so I started thinking of ways to make a cake for him. I had planned to make a "practice" cake before the wedding.... buuuut the week of their wedding came way too quickly and I never did. I had an idea of what I wanted to do so the night before Nick and I quickly started throwing the cake together, I made little 6 inch square cakes to make a building, as I started frosting the cake it started to crumble, and there was no way I would be able to cover it with fondant. Nick and I were so flustered, we didn't know what to do. So we decided to do our "Plan B" cake and go to bed and make the cakes again in the morning. We made the cakes and went to the Temple, then to luncheon, then came home and started decorating away! And let me tell you I am SO glad I did my Plan B cake, it turned out AMAZING! I am so proud of this cake and I am so glad so many people liked it.
So after all the fuss of the grooms cake, everything turned out just fine and we had a great day! Their sealing was wonderful, and  the best thing is they got sealed in the same room Nick and I did, it was wonderful, they looked so happy and I am just so happy for them. Their reception was so much fun, it was a just one big party! So congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Parker! I love you guys!
