so for our honeymoon, we went to disneyland, that's right, disneyland! and we had so much fun! it was like being little kids again! we were so excited to go to california and be in the warm sun, but to our surprise when we landed sunday morning, it was cloudy and overcast, luckily not too cold, but still i wanted some cali sun! anyways, we hopped onto the disneyland bus and went to our hotel, checked in there, threw our luggage in our room and we headed straight for disneyland!
so we got to disneyland, and i was super excited! the first thing we did there was eat, of course. we went to the pizza port in tomorrowland. while eating, we were waiting for nick's friend josh, they went to switerland together on their missions. josh was there with his fiance, and they had just gotten engaged the day nick and i got married. so we met up with them and went on space mountain and the matterhorn with them. it was fun to hang out with them!
so we had a good day in disneyland, dinner time came around and we decided to go to downtown disney and eat, we went to a place called la brea bakery. i went there a few years ago when i went there to disneyland with my mom, it's a really good place! i got a huge casear salad, and nick got a mucho big hamburger. we are outside on the patio, and it was cold, so they had heaters on! but that ends day 1 at disneyland.
the next day was again cloudy and overcast, nick and i had to wear hoodies, luckily we had gotten some cute ones the night before! so we were matchy-matchy. we started the day out in california adventure, it was nice cause it wasn't crowded at all, and we got the before the opened, we first got on soarin over california, after we got off that we got a fast pass to go on it again later, and went on some other rides. i was excited to go on the toy story mania ride, the last time i was there it was brand new so the line was forever long! nick and i only had to wait abot 15 minutes, so i was excited! it was a way fun ride! so we finished part of our day up in california adventure and headed over to disneyland the rest of the day. nick and i hit disneyland at the perfect time of the year, it wasn't busy at all, lines were way short, wasn't too hot, the only downfall was the park closed at 9. from my past vacations there i was so used to staying at the park from 8 a.m. til midnight!
but anyways onto our third day, we had a late start in disneyland, we went on a few rides and by that time we were ready for lunch, we went to a place called "the golden horseshoe" its a great place for food and you get to watch a show while you eat, and this time the show was the mayor trying to get his daughter married off. nick was one of the lucky "bachelors" to get pulled up on stage. the daughter was a rather attractive lady. but she didn't pick nick, so i'm sure she is very happy with the young man she ended up with, hahaha. after a while that day, the sun started to come out and it was getting warmer, so we wanted to go on splash mountain, but much to our surprise it was closed, and it would be closed the rest of the week :( sad day! but it's ok, we were glad the sun was coming out! but in the mid afternoon i was starting to notice that my knee was really starting hurt, so we sat down for a while to see if that did. after that we went over to california adventure, but my knee wasn't getting any better, so we had to go to first aid to get me an ice pack and some medicine. we stayed there til 6, which is when it closed, and we decided we needed to call it a day and go back to the hotel. so we ran to downtown disney, ordered us a huge cheese pizza and went back to the hotel.
4th day... it was SUNNY! it was wonderful, we decided to go to disneyland and eat breakfast at the carnation cafe, which was super yummy! i got myself a mickey mouse waffle, and nick got apple pancakes. we had a pretty normal day in disneyland that day, rode rides, played some games, i hobbled around disneyland more with my hurt knee. but it was a good day, and we got ourselves a full day in disneyland.
last day :( we packed up and headed to disneyland for one last time, we rode a few rides, got us some lunch, got our last minute souvenirs. we had to leave disneyland around 1 so we could make our bus to the airport. i slept the whole way to the LA airport, which was nice and very much needed.
we got home safe and sound and we had a wonderful honeymoon in the happiest place on earth!
